4 Reel!

How many of yall out there are hip to the cult classic "The Boondock Saints" (1999).

For anyone who may have seen it, they know that this is possibly one of the best underated movies in existence. The story is of two brothers who live a life of loving God, loving beer, loving women, & loving Boston. They loved Boston so much that the brothers work together & form a vigilante group to stop the major crime in their hometown. I won't even go into the extreme details of the movie but I'll give you a lil video snippet from the original film....just as a reminder for the one's who love it & an introduction for the one's who are not hip.



This is the prayer that you hear the brothers recite constantly throughout the movie, you can tell that it is instilled in both of them almost as if it is far more than routine...but religion & doing God's work was a part of their natural lifestyle....

Then enters the wild-card......"Il Duce" or "The Duke"

There is far more depth to this character than was revealed in "The Boondock Saints" I call him the wild-card because he was what segued this movie to possibly have a sequel...He came in approx. the last 10-20 mins. of the movie & added another wild twist to the story which increases the momentum by twice the amount that the Saints had already given us.....pure genius!



It was later revealed that "The Duke" was the Saints lost father who had spent most of the latter years of their life locked up in a maximum security prison for his past crimes. After reuniting with their father the circle was complete & in their eyes it was time for God's work to be done.



Well I know that all of you are interested as to why I'm reviewing this movie now...almost 10 years to the date of the original release of this film...

The Saints are back...



I just found exclusive news that the Saints are back with their much anticipated but well kept secret of a sequal...

"The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day"

The feature film is set to be released before the end of the year, with a comic book tie-in to tell the forgotten story of the legend "Il Duce" or "The Duke"....honestly can't wait for all of this!!! But here's the trailer for the sequel, check it out & let me know what you think!!!
